PakType Pakistani Typography

Thank you for downloading PakType fonts. When you decompress this archive
youll see following folders:
License files, Project files and Ready to use fonts

1.	Using these fonts:
Ready to use fonts folder contains font files which are ready for
installation. Under Windows (98/ME/2000/XP/Vista/7), you can simply copy all or
desired font files from this folder to Windows font directory. Please follow
required steps in desired Linux platform. I have tested these fonts in Windows
(upto Vista) and Ubuntu 9 and these fonts work fine.

2.	Developing / extending fonts:
License files folder contains license information about individual fonts and
source of their glyphs. All glyphs used in these fonts are available under GPL
v2 with font exception. So if you make your own font with same or less
licensing then I think you would not have any issue.

I have used two software on different platforms to make these fonts. Project
files folder contains source files for both the software.
a. I have used FontForge on Ubuntu (source files have sfd extension) to
generate plain TTF files without any encoding.
b. In the next step I open FontForge generated files in Microsoft VOLT on
Windows and import VOLT project for it (this file has vtp extension).
c. Then I select Ship Font option in VOLT to create ready to use font file.
