<p>Type コマンドは <a href="command.html">command コマンド</a>に <code>-V</code> オプションを付けたものと同じです。その他オプション・オペランド・終了ステータスは command コマンドと同じです。

<h2 id="notes">補足</h2>
<p>POSIX では、type コマンドと command コマンドとの関係について規定していません。従って他のシェルの type コマンドは command コマンドに <code>-V</code> オプションを付けたものとは異なる動作をすることがあります。また POSIX は type コマンドのオプションを規定していません。
