lite-common-0.8.6-3mdv2009.0.i586.rpm

0.8.6 (December 21, 2007)
-----

Cursor
- Don't load default cursor if LITE_NO_CURSOR is exported.

Utilities
- Fixed bug in image loading routine for non-ARGB images and no explicit format passed.
Show errors in image loading routine.

bench tool
- Disable alpha channel and window theme.

0.8.5 (December 14, 2007)
-----

- Fix bounds checking for LiteButtons to correctly handle negative
coordinates, like those generated when you move to the left or above
  the button.
- Correctly generate enter/leave events when the LiteBox hierarchy changes.
- Release a LiteBox's drag_box when containing window is left. Since mouse
is grabbed during drag, this only happens when other parts of the system
  adjust the window hierarchy
- Fixed width/height mixup in lite_get_window_size().
- Fixed signed/unsigned types and warnings.
- Check for event_buffer != NULL in prvlite_wakeup_event_loop().
- Added missing call to prvlite_wakeup_event_loop() in lite_update_window().

0.8.4 (March 1, 2007)
-----

- Fixed issue with timing of window update and window resizing leading
  to graphics glitches
- Reworked window destruction again to make sure that windows aren't
completely destroyed until they are no longer used by the event loop
  mechanism
- fixes to ensure that a window's drag box won't be incorrectly set
- change order of event loop so window refresh during event queue
processing occurs without also triggering timeouts
- validation checks added to some LiteCursor calls on debug build
- window validation added to many LiteWindow calls on debug build

0.8.3 (December 13, 2006)
-----

- New API: lite_destroy_all_windows - calls lite_destroy_window
on all windows in system from newest to oldest
- New API: lite_rebase_window_timeouts - used to adjust all window
timeouts when the system time changes
- New API: lite_window_event_available - returns true if any
events are queued up or any timeouts are ready.
- New API: lite_set_window_bounds - used to move and resize a
  window in one on-screen operation
- Const correctness parameter changes for lite_get_font_filename(),
  lite_set_window_background()
- lite_update_box() and internal find_child() rewritten to be
  non-recursive for speed purposes
- more fixes around window destruction and properly releasing
  interfaces and freeing memory
- lite_init_box now disallows boxes with negative height or width
- modified update code to use memmove instead of memcpy to fix overlap
  problem
- lite_window_event_loop will force an update at least once every 200
milliseconds if one is needed and hasn't happened yet

0.8.2 (October 14, 2006)
-----

- expanded the LiteBoxType enumeration to have different items for
each LiteBox and LiteWindow type defined in the library, with
special ranges for expanding the number of types for client
  libraries
- updated code to fix stdbool.h warnings (Ville Syrjala)
- patch to support vertical sliders (Pierre-Hugues Husson)
- changed window update loop to be more efficient
- fixed bugs with new window destruction code
- fixed bug with routing of resize events to not-yet-displayed windows
- fixed a memory leak with freeing window memory on DWET_DESTROYED

- changed lite_enqueue_window_timeout and lite_enqueue_idle_callback
to never return the value 0 as the ID
- fixed bad return value for lite_remove_window_timeout

0.8.1 (September 20, 2006)
-----

- new API: lite_set_window_enabled - this function will tell a window
if it should handle events that are sent to it. DESTROYED events
  will always be handled.
- fix to handle_wheel to ignore wheel events for a box if it ignores
  keyboard events
- optimized shared library lookup tables by using -Wl,-O1 option for gnu ld
- optimized lite_set_active_font call by having it avoid a cache lookup
just to validate that a font has been loaded
- reworked window destruction extensively to work correctly with DFB's
window destruction model. You should use the window's box->Destroy
callback for cleanup code, while window->OnDestroy is just used to
catch the DWET_DESTROYED message that will get sent later
- removed the nesting level concept from window timeouts, as it led to
hard to fix cases. If you want a timeout to not be called, make sure
to remove it before opening a new window.

0.8.0 (August 30, 2006)
-----

- new API: lite_destoy_box_contents - destroy a LiteBox and its children, but
don't free the LiteBox pointer. Used by LiteWindow to destroy children while
delaying deallocating LiteWindow until the DFB_DESTROYED event.
- LiTE now honors the OnDestroy method of LiteWindow objects. This will be
called when DirectFB sends the DFB_DESTROYED event for a window. The
  LiteWindow is then freed.
- Fixes to modal window handling to better handle destruction of the modal
window and restoring the correct modal window when a window is non-modal.
- Lite window themes now include settings for the a color and position
  of the window's title
- When a window has been resized but the resize hasn't taken effect,
updates to the window will be discarded until the resize occurs,
since the resize will force a redraw of the whole window.
- Lots of minor bug fixes and cleanups.
- This version requires DirectFB 0.9.26 (currently in development)

0.7.2 (May 5 2006)
-----
- New maintainer, Ben Combee <ben.combee@gmail.com>
- Window updates are now collected into up to four different regions
which should make updates faster by reducing the total area updated
when distant LiteBoxes are all updated
- fix to correctly restore modal windows and to deal with windows created
while we're tracking a mouse event
- fix to not update boxes when they are invisible
- fix for drawing windows with correct opacity
- New API, lite_get_font_filename, to get the filename associated
  with a font
- rewrote lite_event_loop to add support for idle callbacks and to fix
  problems with timeout callbacks

0.7.1 (Feb 2 2006)
-----
- New API, lite_on_raw_window_mouse_moved(), this installs a callback for any mouse moved
events before LiTE processes these events.
- Fixed bug with the drag box not always properly updated.
- Avoid using fixed DFBSurfaceBlittingFlags, instead record them into the LiteImage object
  and have DSBLIT_BLEND_ALPHACHANNEL as default.
- New function, lite_set_image_blitting_flags() to set the blitting flags for the automatic
  image updates in LiteImage.

0.7.0 (Jan 22 2006)
----
- Make sure window drag boxes are set to NULL in case it's a child that's been removed.
- Return from the event loop in case the window that is used in the event loop is destroyed.
- Make sure to flush updates in the event queue in case items have been updated by
  timeout callbacks.
- New API, lite_on_raw_window_wheel() API to install callbacks that will intercept
raw wheel events before they are processed.

0.6.5 (Dec 20 2005)
-----
- Defer opacity change of a window (making it visible) until it has just been
  updated once.
- Remove clear of the window context during creation, instead just enqueue an update.
- Lock the mutex while updating a font ref count.
- If a null region is passed for an update window call, update the whole window.
- Focus bug fixes for focused boxes.
- Modal state is now handled outside the actual modal window, i.e. pick up events
  outside the modal window region.
- Cursor hotspot control in the LiteCursor structure.
- lite_set_cursor_hotspot() for setting the hotspot for specific cursors.
- Default hotspot values for system cursor defined in lite_config.h
- New feature to add LiteTimeoutFunc callbacks into the LiTE event loop with
  lite_enqueue_window_timeout() and lite_remove_window_timeout().

- Delayed window destruction function so windows are destroyed later, not immediately in the
  event loop.
- Extensive use of D_DEBUG_AT inside various components for stating the internal changes.
- Fixed on_button_up so the callback is only triggered if the mouse event happens inside
  the targeted LiteBox.
- Bug fix, use of D_STRDUP in all cases the string has been created with
D_* macros, and other similar fixes.
- And even more bug fixes.

0.6.1 (Oct 11 2005)
-----
- Documentation fixes.

- New macro, LITE_WINDOW_PARAMETER_CHECK, to check if a passed in LiteWindow is a valid struct or not.
- New macro, LITE_BOX_PARAMETER_CHECK, to check if a passed in LiteBox is a valid struct or not.
- Most window public APIs now use LITE_WINDOW_PARAMETER_CHECK.

0.6.0 (Sept 26 2005)
-----
- Various bug fixes related to the event handling, and window child handling.
- Fixes in code base to make sure various pointer variables are initialized to NULL.
- New window callback, lite_on_universal_event() to catch DFBUniversalEvents.

0.5.3 (Sept 7 2005)
-----
- New APIs, lite_window_set_creator() and lite_window_get_creator(), from Damian
and Kent, to save information about the window who created a specific LiteWindow.
This is then used in the modal window loop to forward all input events to a window
that was created by a modal window, making it possible to have child windows that
are bigger in size than the actual modal window.
- Updates of LiteWindow's height and width values when calling lite_resize_window().
- Move the default theme global variables into .c files and place extern definitions
in the .h files, this to make C++ compilations work without errors.

- Three new cursor APIs, lite_hide_cursor(), lite_show_cursor() and
  lite_set_cursor_opacity().
- New function lite_free_window_theme() to release window theme resources.
- New configuration constant, DEFAULT_WINDOW_MINIMIZE_SIZE.
- render_title() is now more flexible and allows window themes with no
fonts as well as no title set for the window so that the top level
  frame could be rendered.

0.4.2 (June 17 2005)
-----
- The window theme handling is now broken out so that a LiteWindowTheme
could be passed into lite_new_window(). There's a liteDefaultTheme,
liteNoTheme, or a custom theme could be passed in. As part of this
the lite_new_window() API changed, in addition to the LiteWindowTheme
it now uses DFBRectangle to pass in the window size, this way we
avoid functions with too many parameters.
- The theme handling has a new base structure, LiteTheme.
- All header file top parts have Doxygen @brief statements.
- New compile time lite_config.h flag, LOAD_DEFAULT_THEME, on by default,
if disabled, no default themes are built. The environment variable
  LITE_NO_THEME is also still operational.
- New directory called tests where LiTE unit tests are placed, two
new unit tests, window and nothemewindow.
- All user-provided callbacks now return DFBResult, this so we could
test or a value not being DFB_OK and stop event flows and so on.
- New callback hook that is installed with lite_on_raw_mouse(), this
callback triggers with mouse event information before the modal state
and LiteBox mouse handling has happened. This makes it possible to
find out if a parent window has a mouse click in order for the child
window to close itself (for example with popups.)
- New callback hook that is installed with lite_on_raw_keyboard(), this
callback triggers with mouse event information before the modal state
and LiteBox keyboard handling has happened.

loop so that only the frontmost modal window will receive events.
- Other LiteWindowFlags for indicating if the window could be minimized or resized.
- In lite_reinit_box_and_children(), maintain the font information when cloning the boxes.
- New global cursor that is by default set to a default cursor, but could be set to
any valid LiteCursor during runtime. This makes it possible to have dynamic cursors in
  the LiTE environment.

  to subclassing LiteBox)
- New lite_get_current_key_modifier() API to return the current key modifier.
- Work on two new LiteWindow function callbacks, OnBoxAdded() and OnBoxToBeRemoved(), triggered
when a box is added to an underlying box hierarchy, or to be removed.
