1) Detect example make a segmentation fault at start:

    Check that you have a recent detect version. Most of seg. faults 
    have been found on detect 0.9.3 inferior version. The error is, in 
    this case, provoked by a kernel version less than  2.1.120. 

    If the errors persist, then contact the authors.

2) Some cards are not detected:

    The detection is based on a database. If your card is not detected 
    it is probably because your hardware not repertoried yet. If it is an ISA
	card then send a pnpdump output, however if it's PCI send then
/proc/bus/pci/devices to <harddrake@mandrakesoft.com>.

3) My mouse is not detected or system freeze on mouse/modem probing:

    Quit X or kill GPM.

4) How do I incorporate detect into my programs ?

5) Where can I find programs which use the detect library ?

7) I think you guys are doing a cool thing. How can I help ?

    Well if you have access to some fancy hardware, you can download 
    detect, and one of the lothar modules, test and file some good bug 
    reports.

    If you are fluent in any language, we could also use your help in 
    translating into other languages.
