kernel-linus-2.6.23.16-1mdv2008.0.src.rpm

Beginning from 2.6.20-2mdv the autoconf stuff has been reworked:
 - we dont rely on /etc/init.d/kheader and /boot/kernel.h anymore
 - dropped all of the old autoconf hacks
 - dropped kernel-linus-source-stripped(-latest) rpms
 - introduced kernel-linus(-smp)-devel(-latest) rpms to build 3rdparty
drivers against (survives test: make mrproper oldconfig prepare scripts)
 - kernel-linus-source does not include any autoconf stuff anymore,
so you have to modify Makefile to match your kernel.
The /lib/modules/'uname -r'/build,source symlinks does get added
as dkms needs them and can cope with the Makefile mismatch anyway.

If you find a bug in this kernel (oops, lockdep, ...) report it to LKML,
as it's the correct (and only) way to get fixes to this kernel set.

The only patches that might be added is if it's fix needed to get the kernel
core to build, and then it _has_ to come from upstream kernel.org
 linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux-2.6.git with the proper sign-off.
If it's a module that breaks, it will simply be disabled in the defconfigs
 for the time beeing.

If you have problems with dkms or other 3rdparty drivers building against
this kernel, report the bug against them, as they must be adapted to build
 against 2.6.20+ kernels.

If you find a packaging bug, report it on qa.mandriva.com against this
 kernel.
