========================================================================== Directory layouts are defined in separate layout profiles: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- profile filename description -------------------------------------------------------------------------- bsd layout.bsd follow convention used by BSD ports system bsd-romfs layout.bsd-romfs BSD embedded devices with ROM filesystems fhs layout.fhs follow Filesystem Hierarchy Standard (FHS) lsb layout.lsb follow Linux Standards Base (LSB) standard lsb-romfs layout.lsb-romfs Linux embedded devices with ROM filesystems singledir built-in install everything under a single directory -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The default directory layout is OS dependent: -------------------------------------------------------------------------- OS type default profile -------------------------------------------------------------------------- BSD bsd Linux lsb Solaris singledir, using prefix /opt/csw/callweaver.org any other singledir, using prefix /opt/callweaver.org -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Directory layout profiles contain a list of key=value pairs, *without* any spaces or tabs, one pair per line. The following keys are defined: cwprefix, cwexecdir, cwutilsdir, cwconfdir, cwlibdir, cwvardir, cwlogdir, cwrundir, cwspooldir, cwdatadir, cwmandir and cwdocdir Values are the full pathnames for the respective directories *without* any quotation marks. Any lines with a leading # character and lines containing pairs with invalid keys are ignored. -------------------------------------------------------------------------- Before the introduction of layout profiles, the built-in singledir layout placed directories 'log' and 'run' at the top level. They have since been moved into the 'var' directory. However, the old singledir layout is still available as a profile called 'oldsingledir'. In order to use it, specify option --with-directory-layout=oldsingledir when running configure. ==========================================================================
