ghasher version 1.2.1 ===================== Author: Nils Olav SelÃ¥sdal <NOS@Utel.no> URL: http://asgaard.homelinux.org/code/ghasher/ License: BSD (See the LICENSE file) Description: Small GUI utility that calculates md5/sha-1 and many other sums. FAQ: Q: How do I install ghasher ? A: If you're in the directory where this file resides, just typing 'make install' , compiles and installs ghasher as /usr/bin/ghasher Or if you have scons installed, type 'scons' to build ghasher. Note that you'll need development files installed for GTK2,libglade2 and openssl I'm allergic to the autotools, so there is no ./configure ... Q: make install fails :-( A: make sure you have a suitable development environment installed (compiler, libc headers, GTK2,libglade2,pkgconfig and openssl headers installed) Still fails, mail me the entire output of make or make install Q: This program sucks A: Send patches to make it not. Q: Will this app have feature X like program Y ? A: Probably, when I find the time for implementing it. (which is Not Yet(â¢)). Q: ghasher tells me it can't find the hash in the sumfile, but it really is there ! A: This can happen if the names in the sum file is not the very same as the files you opened in ghasher. E.g. the sum file contains a path(directory) and not just the filename, and this is diffrent from the directory from where you added the files. If this is not the case, save the sums in ghasher and mail that file as well as the original sum file to NOS@Utel.no
