<p>The <a class="el" href="class_stream_transformation.html" title="interface for the data processing part of stream ciphers">StreamTransformation</a> part of this interface is used to encrypt/decrypt the data, and the <a class="el" href="class_message_authentication_code.html" title="interface for message authentication codes">MessageAuthenticationCode</a> part of this interface is used to input additional authenticated data (AAD, which is MAC'ed but not encrypted), and to generate/verify the MAC. </p>
