Managing procedures

Patients will eventually have to undergo procedures which GNUmed 0.6 will allow to document if so desired. Those procedures will then be displayed in the context of where they clinically belong.

Each procedure is associated with a range of fields:

where: this relates to either a hospital stay or a free-text designation for a certain praxis, such as in the case of an ambulatory care knee joint arthroscopy or a gastroscopy

when: the date when the procedure was performed

why: a link to an episode (and thus - by extension, possibly - a health issue) as to why this procedure was performed

what: the procedure per se - be it endoscopy, an imaging study, a biopsy, an operation, or radiation therapy

It is planned to allow for associating documents with procedures, such as back-referral letters.
