<div>This regular expression is used by <a href="_copy__Directory_lp__String_cm__String_rp.html" title="">copyDirectory</a> and <a href="_symlink__Directory_lp__String_cm__String_rp.html" title="make symbolic links for all files in a directory tree">symlinkDirectory</a>: they will ignore backup files when copying all the files in a directory, and just copy the other ones.</div>

<div>Perhaps, instead of this being a global variable, there should be a way to change the default values for optional arguments to functions. We may change this.</div>
