I. What is FreeMedForms?

FreeMedForms aims to be an open Electronic Medical Record Manager.
FreeMedForms is also a lot of derivative sub-projects, which are
just standalone compilations of FreeMedForms plugins.

This project is a free and open source project. A community grows up
around it. FreeMedForms and derivatives are released under the terms
of the GPLv3. Some parts of the code are LGPL v2.1.

FreeMedForms and Derivatives are coded in C++/Qt4/Qt5
FreeMedForms and Derivatives are available for:
- MacOS X universal
- Linux: Ubuntu, Debian, OpenSuse, standalone binary
- FreeBSD: need compilation of git trunk (please contact the author)
- Windows


II. When did this project start?

This project started from scratch in October 2008. It was conducted by
a few professionals. Eric Maeker, MD (France) is the Main Creator and
Main Developer.
