<div class="textblock"><p>A layout manager which divides the container region in five regions. </p>
<p>The five regions are composed of: </p>

</pre><p>Each region may hold no more than one widget, and for all but the Center region, the widget is optional.</p>
<p>The North, West, East, and South widgets will take their preferred sizes, while the Center widget takes all available remaining space.</p>
<p>This layout manager is applicable to <a class="el" href="classWt_1_1WContainerWidget.html" title="A widget that holds and manages child widgets.">WContainerWidget</a> or <a class="el" href="classWt_1_1Ext_1_1Container.html" title="A container class which manages its contents using layout managers.">Ext::Container</a> container widgets. They use different properties from the widgets to determine the heights for the border panes:</p>
<ul>
<li>When used with an <a class="el" href="classWt_1_1Ext_1_1Container.html" title="A container class which manages its contents using layout managers.">Ext::Container</a>, the North and South regions need to have their height defined using <a class="el" href="classWt_1_1WWidget.html#a5bebad8f1582b8bebf01a9ed0ee11972" title="Resizes the widget.">WWidget::resize()</a>, and likewise, widgets in the West ad East regions need their width defined.</li>
<li>When used with a <a class="el" href="classWt_1_1WContainerWidget.html" title="A widget that holds and manages child widgets.">WContainerWidget</a>, the widget minimum sizes are used for sizing the border widgets, whose default values may be overridden using <a class="el" href="classWt_1_1WWidget.html#a092c7d1ecfde7f004ef120389d91775d" title="Sets a minimum size.">WWidget::setMinimumSize()</a>. You may not define any padding for the container widget. Instead, use <a class="el" href="classWt_1_1WLayout.html#af18bae8c743c9f9a5cabee58826ffb45" title="Set contents margins (in pixels).">setContentsMargins()</a>.</li>
