<h3 class="section">2.3 I wrote a program that links with Octave libraries and I don't want to release it under the terms of the GPL.  Will you change the license of the Octave libraries for me?</h3>

<p>No.  Instead of asking us to change the licensing terms for Octave, we
recommend that you release your program under terms that are compatible
with the GPL so that the free software community can benefit from your
work the same as you have benefited from the work of all the people who
have contributed to Octave.
