This section documents incompatibilities between these libraries. </p> <ul class="itemizedlist"> <li class="listitem"> <p class="para"> Values of <em>bit</em> data type are returned as binary strings (e.g. "\0" or "\x1F") with <em>libmysql</em> and as decimal strings (e.g. "0" or "31") with <em>mysqlnd</em>.
