cleanfeed-20020501-13.mga6.noarch.rpm

This is a new release of the popular cleanfeed usenet spam filter written
by Jeremy Nixon. I will continue releasing new versions until I get tired
or somebody else will step forward.

There is no real documentation, so if you never used cleanfeed please
download the original package from
http://www.exit109.com/~jeremy/news/cleanfeed.html and enjoy trying to
understand what changed.

If you already have an existing cleanfeed installation please double check
your cleanfeed.local, because it may not be compatibile with this release.
cleanfeed.conf does not exist anymore, the bad_cancel_paths config option
is now read from a configuration file and most local_* functions changed
their name. Please read the CHANGES file for details about these and other
things. When in doubt, check the source code.

In the tools directory there are some files you don't need to know about.

If you want to help with cleanfeed developement, please subscribe to the
cleaners@lists.bofh.it mailing list:
 echo subscribe | mail cleaners-request@lists.bofh.it
 http://lists.bofh.it/listinfo/cleaners

Even if I use this code on my production servers I still consider it a
bit experimental, so I suggest you don't bet your whole business on it.

========================= IMPORTANT! - READ CAREFULLY ========================
The files bad_* and cleanfeed.local.sample are just examples.
They are taken from one of my servers when I build this source package and
may be out of date when you download it, or maybe they merely represent
policy decisions you do not agree with.
Please read them and be sure to understand each single line before trying
to install them, or you may end up rejecting legitimate articles.
========================= IMPORTANT! - READ CAREFULLY ========================

I want to thank Jeremy Nixon who wrote the original program and gracefully
answered my questions during development and Barry Bouwsma, who inspired
my work with his own qleanpheed.
