<p><a href="Ast_iterator.html#TYPEiterator"><code class="code"><span class="constructor">Ast_iterator</span>.iterator</code></a> allows to implement AST inspection using open recursion.  A
    typical mapper would be based on <a href="Ast_iterator.html#VALdefault_iterator"><code class="code"><span class="constructor">Ast_iterator</span>.default_iterator</code></a>, a trivial iterator,
    and will fall back on it for handling the syntax it does not modify.</p>
