This editor is briefly described under ``Interactive Editing of Tables'' in the MIDAS Users Guide. <TT>EDIT/TABLE</TT> will automatically be invoked by <TT>MAKE/STARTABLE</TT> if you have no ASCII file to convert. If you don't like the EDT-like editor provided by <TT>EDIT/TABLE</TT>, create an ASCII file with whatever editor you like and set up a *.fmt file to convert it, as described above.
