Ziproxy Log Tools ----------------- Ziproxy includes the following tools for analysing its access logs: - ziproxylogtool (src/tools/ziproxylogtool, automatically installed) - ziproxy_genhtml_stats.sh (src/tools/ziproxy_genhtml_stats.sh, not automatically installed) QUICK WAY (for the ones who can't wait) --------------------------------------- Make sure "ziproxylogtool" is installed. $ ./ziproxy_genhtml_stats.sh <logfile> > my_stats.html DESCRIPTION ON THE TOOLS ------------------------ "ziproxylogtool" is a low-level log analyser, its purpose is to be invoked by scripts. It is expected to be reasonably fast and generic. Examples: $ cat access.log | ziproxylogtool -mg > stats.txt $ ziproxylogtool -mh --bytes-out-min 1024 -i access.log -o stats.txt For more information on this: $ ziproxylogtool --help "ziproxy_genhtml_stats.sh" is a high-level, HTML-generating, log analyser. It's made in bash and uses ziproxylogtool. The idea is to provide it as an example, but it may be used as-is, and may be modified to suits better one's needs. Examples: $ ./ziproxy_genhtml_stats.sh access.log > pretty_http_stats.html $ ./ziproxy_genhtml_stats.sh access.log "My Company Inc. traffic" > even_prettier_http_stats.html (EOF)
