of other axes, and to support numbering.</p>
<p>The <A HREF="../../../../../net/sf/saxon/tree/util/Orphan.html" title="class in net.sf.saxon.tree.util"><CODE>Orphan</CODE></A> class is a general-purpose implementation of a node with no parent, no attributes, and no children.</p>
