libsms is a part of the libgnokii, a library providing functionality for all gnokii applications (at the moment: gnokii, xgnokii and smsd). libsms is a library that offers possibilities to handle the short messages also known as SMS. The functionality of the libsms is covered by the 3 functions: SendSMS() Allows to send all kind of the short messages allowing to send logos, ringtones, picture messages, profiles, business cards, concatenated messages as well as allows to compose a message using default alphabet, 8bit alphabet and unicode. A message is being sent to the given remote address. The supported address type are: international number, national number and unknown number (treated as national number). SaveSMS() Offers the same functionality as SendSMS() but instead of sending is saves it in the given location and memory type. If the phone supports it, the message can be saved in an arbitrary folder. If the location is not given, the message is being saved to the first empty location in the given memory type/folder. GetSMS() Reads the message from the given location and memory type/folder. There are several helping functions that can be also used by the higher level applications: ParseSMS() Does the SMS frame parsing and fills in the SMS struct. RequestSMS() Requests the frame from the phone driver.
