KDar -- the KDE Disk archiver. Released under the GPL. See the file "COPYING" for details on your and my rights with respect to this software. Copyright (C) 2003 by Johnathan K. Burchill. DAR is short for "Disk ARchive", a disk-oriented backup utility by Denis Corbin. It is analogous to the "tape archive" shell command "tar". Your archives can be split into slices of the right size for your storage medium. DAR also performs differential backups. The archive catalog can be extracted into its own (much smaller) file, which means you don't need the first and last of your archive CD's to do a differential backup of the entire archive.
