Documentation about the Kaffe port to NCR MP-RAS. By Edouard G. Parmelan <egp@free.fr>, Mar 4, 2000 Autoconf macro that detect required libraries to link with X11 don't handle NCR MP-RAS case correctly and don't figure that -lnsl is needed :( To be able to use AWT, you should add set X_EXTRA_LIBS=-lnsl when running configure. Using a Bourne-compatible shell user you can do that on the command line like this: X_EXTRA_LIBS=-lnsl PATH_TO_KAFFE/configure Or on systems that have the `env' program, you can do it like this: % env X_EXTRA_LIBS=-lnsl PATH_TO_KAFFE/configure To enable debuging support (--enable-debug) you need function strcasecmp() from -lc89, set LIBS=-lc89 when running configure. You *must* disable gcj with --disable-gcj option of configure as gcc prebuild from http://ncrinfo.ncr.com/pub/contrib don't contains g++.
