<p>Dans les modes de notes, d'accords et de paroles, les durées sont
écrites avec des chiffres et des points : les durées sont indiquées par
leur valeur fractionnaire par rapport à la durée d'une ronde. Une
noire, par exemple, qui équivaut à un 1/4 de ronde — «<font size="-4"> </font>quarter note<font size="-4"> </font>»
<p>en anglais — s'écrit <code>4</code>, alors qu'une blanche —
«<font size="-4"> </font>half-note<font size="-4"> </font>», 1/2 ronde — s'écrit <code>2</code>. Pour des notes plus
longues qu'une ronde, vous devrez utiliser les commandes <code>\longa</code>
pour une longue, et <code>\breve</code> pour une brève, aussi appelée carrée.

<p>Si la durée n'est pas précisée, elle est alors assimilée à la durée
précédente. La valeur par défaut pour la première note est une noire
(4).

<p>Pour obtenir des notes pointées, ajoutez simplement un point
(‘<samp><span class="samp">.</span></samp>’) au chiffre. Les notes doublement pointées sont créées de
la même façon.

<p>Les points sont normalement haussés pour éviter les lignes de portées,
