This version of TiMidity++ has changed config file location to /etc/timidity/timidity.cfg . However, when modifying timidity config to use your own Gravis patch or SoundFont, DON'T JUST MODIFY THIS CONFIG FILE! It's because timidity.cfg is merely a symbolic link pointing to one of various other files inside the same directory. To use custom setting, please follow the 2 steps below: 1. Modify /etc/timidity/timidity-custom.cfg 2. Use update-alternatives to point timidity.cfg to above config: update-alternatives --config timidity.cfg Other config files are overwritten each time RPM update happens, so your changes will be lost. If you want to use some default patch set as a basis, you can copy the corresponding config file to timidity-custom.cfg and modify it.
