         <p>You can access all your files using
                <span class="application">Dolphin</span>, a full featured file manager
                supporting access to files no matter where they are located: on your local
                disk, on FTP or Web servers, on <acronym class="acronym">SMB</acronym>
                (<span class="application">Samba</span> and
                <span class="application">Windows<sup>&reg;</sup></span> shares)
                servers, on remote machines through <acronym class="acronym">SSH</acronym>, and even on
                your <acronym class="acronym">NTFS</acronym> partitions<sup>[<a name="d5e1327" href="#ftn.d5e1327" class="footnote">1</a>]</sup> with full read-write access (see <a class="xref" href="desktop-intro-access-files.html#konqueror-ntfs-access" title="Figure&nbsp;2.2.&nbsp;Accessing Windows Files With Dolphin">Figure&nbsp;2.2, &#8220;Accessing Windows Files With Dolphin&#8221;</a>). Choose <span class="guimenu">Tools</span>+<span class="guimenu">System Tools</span> &#8594; <span class="guimenuitem">Dolphin File Manager</span> from the menu to open
                <span class="application">Dolphin</span>.

         <p>All file management operations are simple, you can use
                drag&amp;drop to link to, copy or move files around or right click on
                files to pop up a menu with actions according to that file type. Use the
                <span class="guilabel">Places</span> selector, located at the left, to navigate
                through some predefined places (your home folder, the network, the root
                file system, etc.) You can also click on the location bar (at the top of
                the file list) and type the full path to the file or folder (or
                <acronym class="acronym">URL</acronym> if it's a remote file or folder) you want to
                access, or use the web browser-like buttons to navigate through your
                files.
