============================================================= mod_xhtml_neg: an XHTML content negotiation module for Apache ============================================================= This module provides content negotiation facilities for XHTML documents that conform to Appendix C compatibility requirements of the XHTML 1.0 specification. This is the release for Apache 2.0.x. For the Apache 1.3.x server, please download the 1.3 compatible package. This allows compatible browsers to view XHTML content as XML-compliant documents, and older or less compatible clients to view XHTML content as text/html documents. The module provides server-side content negotiation based on the request's Accept and Accept-Charset HTTP headers, respects default character set provisions as defined in RFC 2616 and RFC 3023, respects quality values in both the request and as server preferences, and will negotiate based on the optional "profile" parameter set out in RFC 3236.
