This is a file with some tips on how to get gcombust to compile on IRIX 6.5. Compiling on IRIX seems to cause some problems with the N_() gettext macro now. I tried changing the declarations a little, but if it still doesn't work, remove the N_() parts it complains about (leaving the text between the () there). Also, sometimes I forget // style comments in the code, remove them to get it to compile. Sometimes I also forget the CFLAGS = -Wall in src/Makefile.am, remove it to get it to compile. // Jonas Munsin ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Date: Tue, 19 Dec 2000 15:53:16 +0100 From: "C.Fanin" <claudio.fanin@pd.infn.it> <...> About the compilation flags, I've found that the following enable the production of a binary good for 32 bits cpu compiling from a 64 bits cpu. Now it's my permanent setting. Probably useful to anybody? CFLAGS = -O2 -xansi -n32 -mips3 -OPT:Olimit=5000 -TARG:isa=mips3 LDFLAGS=-Wl,-rpath -Wl,/usr/lib32:/usr/freeware/lib:/usr/local/lib Would you please substitute my last suggested setting? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ From: "Claudio Fanin" <claudio.fanin@pd.infn.it> Date: Thu, 9 Sep 1999 17:47:50 +0000 To: jmunsin@iki.fi Subject: gcombust 21 on irix 6.5 Hallo, here me again with problems, sorry. Compiling the 21'th on IRIX 6.5 there are some little but noisy problems. The attachment reports all the compilation's echo. As you can see I've also slightly changed the flags of compilation. Now are running: CC=cc CFLAGS=-O2 -xansi -mips3 -DSYSV -woff 1185 -rpath /usr/local/lib CXX=/usr/bin/CC -n32 CXXFLAGS=-fullwarn -woff 1685 -woff 3322 -rpath /usr/local/lib LD_LIBRARY_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/usr/lib32 LD_LIBRARYN32_PATH=/usr/local/lib:/usr/lib32 MAKEDEPEND=CC -M I don't know if they are all necessary, probably no but the most part of sources accept them. Would you modify the README.irix following this?
