    </H3>

      When a <I>sniffer</I> is started, the captured network
      traffic can be logged to a file. There are logging two
      options, selected from the combobox in the <I>Logging</I>
      section of the common configuration page.

      <UL>
	<LI><B>Record Text</B><BR>
	  Text logging writes a human-readable file containing one line
	  for each captured packlet. The information is exactly that
	  displayed on the <A HREF="index-4.7.html">packet display</A>
	  page, with some header information.
	</LI>
	<LI><B>Record Binary</B><BR>
	  Binary logging file are intended to be replayed through a 
	  <I>replayer</I>.
        </LI>

      Replayer
    </H3>
    <P>
      The <I>replayer</I> configuration page is essentially the
      same as the <I>sniffer</I> configuration page except:

      <UL>
        <LI>
	  The <I>logging</I> area only allows for the selection of a
	  file to be replayed, plus a speed-up/slow-down factor for replay.
	</LI>
	<LI>
	  The <I>program</I> area simply shows the filter program, and
	  the <I>interface</I> cannot be set.
	</LI>
	<LI>
	  The <I>reset</I> button does not appear.
	</LI>
