Files

Before going on I have to say something about the files wordtrans uses.
The first time one of the front-ends is run, the hidden directory
~/.wordtrans/
will be created and the files in
/etc/wordtrans/
will be copied to it.
These files have the information for every dictionary that wordtrans can manage, and can be edited or created new ones with the front-ends qwordtrans and kwordtrans. If you use the console version you may edit them by hand because they are just text files.
I have to emphasise that the front-ends only work with the files in
~/.wordtrans/
and NOT with files in
/etc/wordtrans/
, although since version 0.8.2 you can use the option --conf to specify the directory where the configuration files would be looked for.
Both qwordtrans and kwordtrans will save its preferences in
~/.wordtrans/preferencias
.
The console version reads from
~/.wordtrans/preferencias
the default dictionary.
