OK. Let's do some tests. Try to scan the source directory recursively:

$ clamscan -r -l scan.txt clamav-x.yz
</PRE>
It should find the viruses in the clamav-x.yz/test directory. You may
check it in the created log - scan.txt. <B>You will find more about
