--- Moleskine - A source code editor for the GNOME desktop --- Moleskine is a source code editor for the GNOME desktop. I want to make it as powerful and flexible as NEdit <www.nedit.org>, my current favourite editor (I have no problems with it, I only wanted a GNOME editor... GTK+ looks better than Motif/Lesstif ;-) ). The languages for wich I have configured Moleskine are: - C - C++ - HTML - Java - LaTeX - Perl - Plain text - Python but it is really simple to create new configurations (all in the GUI, no text files!) as soon as I add lexers and styles (see Scintilla documentation <www.scintilla.org> for more info about these words). Note: I don't know all these languages, if you come up with a better configuration, please send me your ~/.gnome/Moleskine/LanguageModes file so I can include it in the main distribution. --- Building and installing Moleskine --- Remember that you must have GtkScintilla and PyGtkScintilla installed before building Moleskine. $ tar xvzf Moleskine-x.x.tar.gz $ cd Moleskine-x.x.tar.gz $ su # make install # exit $ moleskine Note: if you are upgrading from Moleskine version 0.5 (or previous), you must remove your ~/.gnome/Moleskine directory. $ rm -rf ~/.gnome/Moleskine --- Credits --- Moleskine is developed by: - Michele Campeotto <micampe@micampe.it> You can find it at www.micampe.it/software/moleskine
