ardour-pixmaps-custom-1.0-1mdk.noarch.rpm

Thanks for downloading my first ardour theme.

Be aware, this theme comes without any promises of success or happiness,
so don't blame me if your house burns down as a result of using it. I'm
using redhat 8.0 which I believe uses a gnome 1.4/2.0 hybrid, on other
systems your usage may vary.

This theme should work in any window manager as long as you have the
"gtk-engines" package for your system installed. I've verified it to
work in gnome, xfce, icewm thus far. Good luck.

Step One:

create a folder called custom_pixmaps (or whatever you'd like really)
cd to the directory you just created and extract the archive in that folder
(alternately one could extract the archive to their default ardour
pixmaps folder as all the base ardour pixmaps are included)

Step Two:

make a backup of your ardour_ui.rc file
replace the default ardour_ui.rc file with the one from my archive

Step Three:

edit the pixmap_path ".:/usr/src/custom_pixmaps" line in your new ardour_ui.rc
file to reflect the location of the folder created in step one
(my pixmaps folder is "/usr/src/custom_pixmaps" yours is wherever
you extracted all the pretty pixmaps)

Step Four:

start ardour as usual and enjoy
