2/1/2002 : At last, an update ! Not much from me still (I don't have time, but will soon...), but contributions from two Jolly Bombers which I am very glad to put here (And I ask them to excuse me for having been so long to do so) :

<li>Petr Kovar brings a new level ("dyna") and a minor fix in the game.</li>
<li>Pierre Sarrazin has corrected the Makefiles and allowed you to download the game in RPM format.</li>
</ul>
Please keep patient for an help screen and everything else to be added to the game...</li>

7/4/2001 : New version 0.8.7 : Many improvements and bugfixes, a lot of code rewritten,... Everything in the game is translated to english now, and the Windows version works fine. Download it now !

Warning : the game is'nt finished yet, and some character animations, sound effects, musics, are missing... It's far more than playable however and stable (at least on my computer).</dd>

To compile from the source, you will need the <a href="http://www.libsdl.org">SDL</a>
library and SDL_mixer for the sound. Once the two installed, uncompress
the archive ("tar -xzf BomberInstinct-xxx.tar.gz") and do a "./configure", "make" followed
by "make install" (as root) in the BomberInstinct directory to install
the game. To play the game type "bi"; you can also edit the levels and
sprites with "nived" and "spred".</dd>
