kgamma-1.0.1-2mdk.ppc.rpm

KGamma is a tool for monitor calibration. With proper gamma settings
your display will look the same on your monitor as on other monitors.
You may need to correct the brightness and contrast settings of your
monitor for good results. The test images helps you to find proper
settings.
You can store the gamma settings to the users config file or to
XF86Config (root acces required for that). This are system settings,
please do not use KGgamma to work on your image files.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Important:

If you have an existing kgamma-0.11 installation, uninstall it first.
The new version will not completly overwrite the old one. If you installed
from source, run "make uninstall" in kgamma-0.11 base directory, or remove
it manually:
rm -f $KDEDIR/bin/kgamma
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/autostart/kgamma_restore.desktop
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/applnk/System/kgamma.desktop

If you update from an existing 0.9 or 0.9.1 version, uninstall it first, or
you will have an orphaned KGamma entry in KControl section "System". If you
are not able to uninstall the old version, remove some files manually:
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/applnk/Settings/System/kgamma.desktop
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/kgamma_admin.png
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/kgamma_admin.png
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/kgamma_admin.png
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/icons/hicolor/16x16/apps/kgamma_user.png
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/icons/hicolor/32x32/apps/kgamma_user.png
rm -f $KDEDIR/share/icons/hicolor/48x48/apps/kgamma_user.png

If you update from version 0.9.2, you will loose your user settings, because
of format changes of kgammarc.

There are known problems to compile KGamma on KDE 3.1 CVS HEAD, because of
changes in DocBook format. In this case, disable documentation from Makefile.

After install you find KGamma in KDE Control Center, section "Look & Feel".
