TkCVS release 7.1 NOTE: requires Tcl/Tk8.3 or above! ----------------------- TkCVS is a Tcl/Tk-based graphical interface to the CVS configuration management system. It displays the status of the files in the current working directory, and provides buttons and menus to execute CVS commands on the selected files. TkDiff is included for browsing and merging your changes. TkCVS extends CVS with a method to produce a browsable, "user friendly" listing of modules in the repository. This requires that the CVSROOT/modules file actually lists some modules. Additional comment fields can be added to make the browser more informative. Remote repositories are supported, although the login step must be done at the commandline. Versions 6.3 and above run on Unix (many flavors have been tested) and on Windows9x and NT. CVS and diff are required. ----------------------- The version of TkDiff included with TkCVS has gotten so heavily patched that I can't really call it TkDiff 3.09+ anymore. It's called TkDiffB, for "Beautified," reflecting the fact that almost all the changes are aimed at getting it to play better across diverse windowing systems (take a peek.) It installs as tkdiffb on Unix and tkdiffb.tcl on Windows. TkDiff itself is getting a new maintainer and a new site, and work has been done on merging my changes in, so I expect the forks to re-unite. ----------------------- See the "INSTALL" file for installation instructions. ----------------------- Known issues: DEC Alpha - some tcl/tk installations have to be supplemented with the Img extension <http://members1.chello.nl/~j.nijtmans/img.html> in order to display the .gif bitmaps.
