KMovisto is a molecule viewer for using in quantum chemistry.
You are able to import GAUSSIAN 94 and GAUSSIAN 98 files (obtained from
UNIX or MS Windows systems) or <A HREF="index-5.html#ss5.1">XYZ files</A> and view
your results in several view modes or edit the molecule geometry. Especially the
3D view modes (anaglyph or stereo pair) make it possible to enjoy stereoscopic
impressions of the molecular structure - so this is what KMovisto makes a <I>real</I>
3D molecule viewer.
<P>
With KMovisto you are also able to generate POV-Ray scene files of your molecules.
POV-Ray is one of the most popular freeware ray tracing programs. You can
<A HREF="http://www.povray.org">download</A> POV-Ray for various
platforms and render your perfect molecule images for high quality presentations.
<B>Fig. 1</B> shows a sample image of a thiosulfinic acid derivate.

Further KMovisto generates VRML (<I>Virtual Reality Modeling Language</I>) files
of your molecules. VRML is a simple way to provide 3D sceenes for the world wide web. To view
VRML files you need an appropriate VRML browser like <A HREF="http://www.crc.ca/FreeWRL">FreeWRL</A> for
Linux platforms or the <A HREF="http://www.platinum.com/cosmo/win95nt.htm">Cosmo Player</A> browser plug-in for
MS Windows systems.
