Big patch from Bastien Nocera <hadess@hadess.net> that fixes a bunch of a build problems, cleans up bits of code, and uses intltool to translate the desktop file.
Fixed problem where sometimes themes would appear in the list twice
Still struggling through this "install" thing.  Should be closer to good now.  Namely the mystery of the missing pixmap has been solved
