GXedit ------ Welcome to GXedit. The first thing you must do is compile GXedit. To do this, simply type: ./setup The file config.h (editable from setup) contains advanced features you may want to customize. What is GXedit? It's a graphical text editor using the GTK library. Which means you must have it installed (www.gtk.org) It was created using version 1.2.0 of GTK but should work with any version > 1.0.0 It was made for Linux but it should work on any OS that supports GTK For good performances you should use it on a 486 or Pentium with 32M or more RAM It features everything a modern text editor should have including a toolbar, multiple windows options, scripting, and is network awake. Starting syntax: gxedit [file names] [-v|-f|-n|-i|-d|-r|-p project|-s script] -v is used for view-only mode -f is used for flat mode -n is to disable the networking -i is interactive mode -d debug -r reset config file -p loads a project file -s loads a script This is free software provided under the GPL.
